You wouldn’t believe what The Sound Room is up to these days. They’ve been around a long time and I remember going into the store on Ballas when I felt like ooh-ing and ah-ing over all of the way cool equipment.
I would walk in and immediately be mentally transported to Trump Towers. I would envision my ultimate home theater, with the absolute state-of-the-art visual and sound systems.
Everyone knows that The Sound Room carries fabulous home theater systems. But what you don’t know is that the newest technology has become the mainstay of their business and it has taken them to all sorts of new heights.
Imagine whole house projects and system integrations such as touching one screen on the wall to
- Arm your alarm system
- Change the temperature in your house
- Change CDs
- Change radio stations
- Turn on a video camera to oversee the safety of your summer house in the Ozarks.
THIS has become the specialty of The Sound Room.
You can imagine that these days, security video surveillance has become more popular, too. It’s unfortunate, but, a sign of the times. You can record 24/7 or just when motion is detected.
Another facet of The Sound Room’s specialty goes arm in arm with the recent popularity of outdoor living. Outdoor kitchens are so popular that the folks at The Sound Room have a design team working on a new 42″ Runco LCD flat panel television that can be left OUTSIDE permanently. Can you imagine? A state of the art TV that can withstand rain, sleet and snow and blistering heat? Wow!
The Sound Room has also stepped into the green marketplace. They make a conscious effort to use environmentally aware vendors. Touch screens and dimmer enable customers to use less electricity.
Additionally, you can save energy by using your touch screen to receive the current outdoor temperature and/or weather forecast and adjust your HVAC accordingly. Unbelievable.
Tony Vieira, vice president of sales at The Sound Room, told me about a customer who set up The Sound Room technology to monitor the forecast for his area, and then turn on his heated driveway if snow or ice was approaching.
What I want to know is, do they have a device which will tell my vacuum cleaner to clean my house? And preferably when I am not there!
