So you are about to move and you are looking for moving boxes. You can dumpster dive behind your local grocery store, or buy those expensive moving boxes from a moving company. But in most cities there is a third alternative. Rent you moving boxes. It may sound a little odd, however there are many reasons you should rent.
You’ll save lots of time. Think about all the time it takes to drive to a store, stand in a checkout line, load your purchase into a car, drive back home, unload, start building boxes – and at this point you still haven’t even packed one item.
Used moving boxes harbor germs. Cardboard moving boxes absorb dirt, bacteria, as well as mold and those are the last things you want to take to your new home.
You cannot stack cardboard boxes as high. Unless you buy really expensive moving boxes, the stackable plastic totes that you rent are sturdier. And you will have less damage as well.
Some cities have started to charge to haul away cardboard boxes. And you will have to break down all those cardboard moving boxes.
Your movers are more efficient using uniformed size boxes. No more trying to fit odd shaped boxes into the back of the truck.

And as homeowners embrace the convenience these companies offer, there are sure to be a lot more.
