If you follow him on Twitter, you’ll see he likes to tweet about organic farming, seeds, natural gardening, organic food. Some of its tweets have been on topics like do-it-yourself experimental water fuel systems, organic gardening, and even tips on how to grow peppers.
4. Growwit falls under our number four pick of our top ten tweeters list. They like to teach you about green things, like gardens, grass, and indoor plants. Currently there’s a great blog post listing favorite herbs suggestions other green thumbers think @Growwit should plant to replace ones sent to the Eternal Land of Compost. Favorites listed were rosemary, chocolate mint, fresh cilantro, lemongrass, stevia, garlic chives, epazote, tarragon, fennel, chamomile, dill and sage.
5. If you’re into more of a western style, Sunset Mag is in the number five spot. It is a premier resource for achieving the ultimate Western lifestyle. Their experts focus on travel destinations in the 13 Western states, home design and outdoor living ideas suited to that region, and recipes and menus that celebrate the American West.
6. We haven’t published all our gardening articles for the season yet, so we’re ranking our own Improve Your Home site in sixth position. But stay tuned for great articles coming up on Flip-Flop Pots and making your own starter seed pots from recycled newspapers.
7. All students need to be scientifically literate. But too often students sit at their desks and learn about habitats and ecosystems thousands of miles away, while their schoolyard features a barren landscape of mown grass or asphalt. Woodard Gardens‘ mission is to teach science through hands-on experience. This is a great organization to lend support to with your Twitter follow.
8. Want to learn more about finding joy in life through planting and gardening? Go to our eighth pick, Plant Web
9. PlanGarden makes web-based software tools exclusively for vegetable and herb gardeners who want to say goodbye to graph paper and colored pencils.
